Zentyal 7.1
Zentyal Development Team is proud to announce Zentyal Server 7.1, a new release of the Zentyal Linux Server with native Microsoft Active Directory® interoperability.
Highlights
Zentyal Server 7.1 is based on Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS and comes with the latest versions of all integrated software. The most important improvements include:
- Antivirus – Rendering of the signatures database issues have been fixed
- Core – Minor fixes and improvements such as the temporary file handling and various smart admin fixes.
- IPS – The bug denying WAN has been fixed.
- Mail – Added auto-expunge feature and improved Dovecot keys.
- Samba – Some essential fixes have been added, as well as an improvement to avoid issues during management.
- Webmail – The bug with the "only IMAPS" integration has been fixed.
- ISO generation and auto-setup - A new way to generate an ISO, smarter, faster, and easier.

Upgrading
To upgrade from Zentyal 7.0 to Zentyal 7.1, you need to have a fully updated Zentyal 7.0 version. Once you have updated your 7.0 server to the latest packages, you will see the upgrade button on the dashboard.
Even if this is a minor upgrade, please keep in mind that upgrades are always risky. It is highly recommended to back up both the server and the data before moving forward with the upgrade process. Also, check out the upgrade documentation.
