Zentyal 4.0 Daily Builds

What are Daily Builds?

They are the latest packages and installer ISOs built everyday directly from the Git repository in an automated way. This means that sometimes they may have not been properly reviewed by humans and you may encounter some glitches. The goal of them is that early adopters can give us some feedback if they want to give a try to the forthcoming Zentyal release in non-production environments.

Daily Build ISOs

This is the recommended option if you are installing for the first time, or you don't have an already existing Ubuntu 13.10 installation.

You can download the ISOs (and md5 files) from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/zentyal/files/Incoming/

In the first screen of the installer you will see the date on which the daily build was generated.

As these images are regenerated every day, it's highly recommendable to check the integrity of the files with md5sum to ensure that your download is not corrupted before trying to install them.

Installing from APT repository

For Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty). You should install the server edition of Ubuntu.

Add to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://archive.zentyal.org/zentyal 4.0 main

In order to authenticate the packages in the Zentyal repository you can import its public key with the following command:

wget -q http://keys.zentyal.org/zentyal-4.0-archive.asc -O- | sudo apt-key add -

After editing your sources.list, make sure that your package database is up to date by running the following command:

sudo apt-get update

After that, you just need to run:

sudo apt-get install zentyal

Important notice

In Zentyal 4.0 the default port for the administration interface has been changed from 443 to 8443, so please note that you should point your browser to the following URL in order to access it:

https://<server_address>:8443
